Learn To blend the edges of an image!

I started with this image: (450x330)

Take your image to Image Magick.
Put your image URL im the box. Now click view.

In the view area, take note of the image size listed in your status line. You will need to know the image size to continue. (height & width)

You also will need to have the image url that you brought to image magick handy. You will be using it again. I use my find key and paste it there until i need it.

Note: if you resize your image before you complete the steps, you will need to use output and save the new resized image. I usually resize it before I start.

Now that you have that, click on draw in the top tool bar.
Next you will see the word Line in the dropdown,
Click it and set it for rectangular

Below that for coordinance you will see these:
+10+10       +60 +60
Change the +10+10 to +0+0
Next change +60+60 to +450+330
The +450 is the width and +330 is the height.

Another example of this would be:
If your image is 400X 250
the coordinence would look like this: +400+250

Next, Fill color is already set for white.
Use white if the final image will be on a dark or black page background & black if the page background will be light or white. I chose to do this with a black border.

For Stroke color use black
The same as above applies to this one. If you use white for fill color, you use black for stroke color or if you use black for fill color use white for stroke color.

Set Stroke Width at 30

Now click Draw

For your next step, scroll up to the top tool bar and click on EffectsScroll down to Parameter and remove anything already there. Next put the number 12 in the parameter box.

Scroll down and click on the radio button for spread ClickEffect!

Scroll up to the top tool bar and click Effects. Scroll down to Parameter, remove the number 12 and replace it with 5x5.
Now scroll down to the radio button for gaussian blur and click it.
Click Effect next!

OK Your almost done.lol Your image should now look like this one!

Now you are going to need the original URL I told you to keep handy in the beginning of this tutorial.

Scroll up to the tool bar at the top of the page, and click on Composite
Add the URL now in the form box. Most of the default settings are fine as they are.
Scroll down to Compose
Use the drop down key and choose either Multiply or Plus.
Note: Use Multipy if you have a black border and a white fill.
Note: Use Plus if you have a white border and a black fill.

For Blend, put in 100%

Scroll up and click on Composite!

Now scroll up to output in the top tool bar.

For format click: JPG or JPEG
For Storage Type click: Single file
Now click output and save it in your scrapbook or transload it to your server
